How to use the Atlas catalog for supplier shortlists

Use the Honyawn Atlas catalog to build a disciplined shortlist across fasteners, bearings and pumps—without treating catalogue photos as stock or certifications.

START WITH THREE QUESTIONS

What a careful reader should establish.

  1. Which product family and specification fields matter before you contact a supplier?
  2. How do you separate catalogue coverage from a quote-ready brief?
  3. Which knowledge pages help you check standards, materials and documents?
01

Start from coverage, not from a brand nickname

Atlas catalog coverage currently spans fasteners, bearings and pumps. Open /catalog to see the published families, then pick the product type that matches the assembly need. A catalogue title is a starting point for enquiry—not proof of inventory or interchangeability.

  • Product family selected from catalog coverage
  • Nickname replaced with standard or drawing reference where known
  • Quantity and destination noted as enquiry context
02

Turn a shortlist into a quote-ready brief

For each candidate, record the controlling dimensions, material or property class, finish, and any documents you will ask for. Prefer linking Atlas knowledge pages on standards, materials and quality documents so buyers and suppliers share the same vocabulary.

  • Critical dimensions and tolerances listed
  • Material/grade and finish stated or marked to-be-confirmed
  • Inspection or material documents requested explicitly
03

What Atlas does not claim

Do not treat catalog images or knowledge summaries as factory ownership, live stock, or automatic certification. Use Atlas to organize the shortlist and the questions; confirm commercial and quality terms in the written quotation.

  • No assumption of stock from a photo
  • No invented ISO/IATF claims
  • Follow-up RFQ sent with drawing revision when custom
