Sourcing anchors & expansion from China
What should an anchors & expansion RFQ include beyond “M10 anchor” or “expansion bolt”?
+
A useful anchors & expansion RFQ names the controlling standard or project callout and edition (for example ETAG 001 vs DIN 529 vs GB 22795 as discovery labels), anchor style (mechanical expansion vs bonded / chemical vs a buyer-named DIN 529 or GB 22795 path), diameter × embedment or effective length, base material as the buyer states it (concrete, masonry, or stone), material, finish, quantity, destination, and required drawings or documents. Standards listed on this page are discovery labels, not confirmed stock, not ETA certificate numbers, and not kN or design-load tables. Send one RFQ line per configuration—do not mix unfinished size, style, and base-material variants into a single line. Use the on-page RFQ starting point, then email [email protected] or WhatsApp +65 9869 5891 when the specification line is ready.
Are ETAG 001, DIN 529, and GB 22795 catalogue rows interchangeable?
+
Do not assume interchange from a shared nominal diameter or the nickname “anchor / expansion”. Compare style, embedment geometry, base material, and acceptance against the edition you will buy, and obtain engineering approval for any proposed substitution. Atlas lists ETAG 001, DIN 529, and GB 22795 as discovery starting points, not as proof that two rows are interchangeable substitutes, and not as ETA approvals or load guarantees. The three labels are not the same RFQ line. Pick one controlling standard or callout on the RFQ and state the edition string. For how to read fastener standards in general, use https://honyawnatlas.com/knowledge/fastener-standards/—this family FAQ does not rewrite that desk.
How should I read anchor ranges on Atlas when no manufacturer file is published?
+
This page states that a manufacturer-specific product file for this family has not been published yet. The discovery standards and size bands here are requirement-definition terms; they are not claims about a particular factory, not catalogue envelopes from a named mill, and not confirmed inventory. Do not invent manufacturer diameter bands or cold/hot forge splits for anchors, do not copy published ranges from the hex-bolt, socket-head, nuts, washers, or threaded-rods families onto this page, and do not invent ETA approval numbers or kN / design-load tables. Name the standard, style, and diameter × embedment you need, then confirm supply and documents in the supplier’s written reply before Agree. Contact: [email protected] · WhatsApp +65 9869 5891.
Which documents and samples are typical for anchors & expansion sourcing?
+
Ask for material evidence and dimensional checks (diameter, embedment or effective length, thread) that match the order class—not a generic certificate title. Typical RFQ lines: sample loop yes/no; dimensional report scope; material documentation as required by the buyer; packing and label marks. For coated anchors, state any appearance or coating acceptance range you will accept. Use https://honyawnatlas.com/knowledge/quality-documents/ for how to read issuer and lot linkage; this FAQ does not invent ISO or IATF numbers, ETA approval numbers, or load-guarantee tables Atlas does not publish. List docs and samples on the first email so the sample loop and production quantity share one scope. Confirm acceptance in the supplier’s written reply before treating quote scope as agreed.
Can I put mechanical expansion anchors and bonded / DIN 529 / GB 22795 lines on the same RFQ line?
+
No—not automatically. Discovery labels on this page point to different geometries, base materials, and acceptance paths: mechanical expansion styles, bonded / chemical programs, DIN 529 masonry / stone-related designations, and GB 22795 as a discovery label. Keep them on separate RFQ lines and name the controlling standard or callout and edition on each line. ETAG 001 on this page is a discovery naming aid for expansion / assessment language—it is not a published ETA certificate number on this page and is not interchange proof. The absence of a manufacturer-specific product file is not permission to mix styles into one unfinished line. Confirm style, size, base material, and documents in writing before Agree.
