A PRACTICAL RFQ STARTING POINT

Tell the factory what needs to be confirmed.

A product name alone leaves important choices open. Send one specification line for each configuration, state the quantity and destination, and identify the drawings or reports needed before a sample or production order.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Sourcing threaded rods & studs from China

What should a threaded-rod / stud RFQ include beyond “M10 all-thread”?

+

A useful threaded-rod or stud RFQ names the controlling standard and edition (for example DIN 975 vs DIN 976 vs ASTM A193 vs ASTM F1554), part style (threaded rod, stud, or stud bolt), diameter and length or cut length, thread coverage and pitch, material or property / grade, finish (including hot-dip galvanizing when that applies), quantity, destination, and required documents. Standards listed on this page are discovery labels, not confirmed stock. Send one RFQ line per configuration—do not mix unfinished size, style, and grade variants into a single line. Use the on-page RFQ starting point, then email [email protected] or WhatsApp +65 9869 5891 when the specification line is ready.

Are DIN 975, DIN 976, ASTM A193, and ASTM F1554 catalogue rows interchangeable?

+

Do not assume interchange from a shared nominal diameter or the nickname “all-thread / rod”. Compare dimensional and mechanical requirements against the edition you will buy—including length datum, thread form, and bolting or anchor-rod grade needs when those apply—and obtain engineering approval for any proposed substitution. Atlas lists DIN 975, DIN 976, ASTM A193, and ASTM F1554 as discovery starting points, not as proof that two rows are interchangeable substitutes. Pick one controlling standard on the RFQ and state the edition string. For how to read fastener standards in general, use https://honyawnatlas.com/knowledge/fastener-standards/—this family FAQ does not rewrite that desk.

How should I read threaded-rod ranges on Atlas when no manufacturer file is published?

+

This page states that a manufacturer-specific product file for this family has not been published yet. The discovery standards and size bands here are requirement-definition terms; they are not claims about a particular factory, not catalogue envelopes from a named mill, and not confirmed inventory. Do not invent manufacturer diameter bands or cold/hot forge splits for threaded rods, and do not copy published ranges from the hex-bolt, socket-head, nuts, or washers families onto this page. Name the standard, style, and diameter × length you need, then confirm supply and documents in the supplier’s written reply before Agree. Contact: [email protected] · WhatsApp +65 9869 5891.

Which documents and samples are typical for threaded-rod / stud sourcing?

+

Ask for material or property / grade evidence and dimensional checks (diameter, length, thread) that match the order class—not a generic certificate title. Typical RFQ lines: sample loop yes/no; dimensional report scope; material documentation as required by the buyer; packing and label marks. For hot-dip galvanized or coated rods, state any coating thickness or appearance acceptance you will accept. Use https://honyawnatlas.com/knowledge/quality-documents/ for how to read issuer and lot linkage; this FAQ does not invent ISO or IATF numbers Atlas does not publish. List docs and samples on the first email so the sample loop and production quantity share one scope. Confirm acceptance in the supplier’s written reply before treating quote scope as agreed.

Can I put DIN 975 rods and DIN 976 / A193 / F1554 studs on the same RFQ line?

+

No—not automatically. Discovery labels on this page cover different part styles and grade families: DIN 975 for threaded rods, DIN 976 for studs / stud bolts, ASTM A193 for high-temperature / alloy bolting grades, and ASTM F1554 for anchor-rod grades. Style, grade scope, and acceptance differ—keep them on separate RFQ lines and name the controlling standard and edition on each line. The absence of a manufacturer-specific product file on this page is not permission to mix rod, stud, and grade families into one unfinished line. Confirm style, size, grade, and documents in writing before Agree. Email [email protected] · WhatsApp +65 9869 5891.
